"This seems to be fixed on Android 10 and setup is easier with connections slightly more reliable now. Ensure that the app has location permission for this to work properly. However, the fact that Smarter seemingly completely dropped support for their first generation of Coffee and 2nd gen of iKettle (and won't follow through on their IFTTT feature promise) means I be buying another Smarter device and won't recommend them to other people."

"What a waste of money, can't upgrade the kettle as the upgrade doesn't work. A smart kettle that's useless. Even their Fridgecam doesn't work unless you keep your router inside your fridge. I will never buy anything from this company again. They should consider a name change from smarter to dumber useless products."
